Marine Genomics and Careers Workshop for Girls

High School Girls! Explore your interest in the ocean, science, and math, and meet scientists, educators, and new friends by attending this FREE two-day workshop during February Vacation 2018.


WHO:    Girls in grades 10-12

WHAT:  In this two-day workshop girls will learn about the tools used to study the genomes of living things, and tips for a successful career in marine science.

WHEN:  February 20 & 21, 2018

                SNOW DATE: February 23

WHERE: Northeastern University Marine Science Center, Nahant. Daily shuttle is available from Ruggles, Wonderland and Lynn/Central Square MTBA stations

Thanks to funding from the National Science Foundation, this workshop is free of charge. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and preference is given to girls hailing from economically disadvantaged families.
